CRITIC’S PICK: Will Hoge, Jet Holden, Peace at Home, Vinyl—Well traveled troubadour Hoge has been bringing his ringing heartland rock and roll to any stage that’ll have him for over 25 years. But he recently released the ballad-oriented Tenderhearted Boys where he played all the instruments himself and stripped the sound down to just a few acoustic pieces. That’s better for getting his gutsy voice and descriptive lyrics out front. The solo route is likely the one he’ll take on this show but he’ll also go deep into his catalog to present older songs like the touching, introspective “Little Bitty Dreams,” his most streamed composition, with a more intimate approach.
