City Winery Atlanta presents Eric Roberson on Monday, November 4th at 8pm!
In the ever-evolving landscape of R&B and soul music, Eric Roberson stands as a beacon of authenticity and unparalleled talent. With a career spanning over three decades, this GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer has not only defied industry norms but has also left an indelible mark on the essence of independent artistry. Celebrated by DJ Jazzy Jeff as “one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time,” Eric has navigated the music industry’s complexities with finesse, achieving what many deemed impossible as an independent artist. His commitment to creating “Honest Music” since 2001 has afforded him artistic freedom that is often elusive in mainstream circles.
Eric’s journey boasts remarkable milestones, from being a sought-after songwriter and producer for luminaries like Jill Scott and Musiq Soulchild to headlining sold-out tours across the nation. In 2022, he celebrated his 21st year as an independent artist, releasing his 17th studio album, “Lessons,” which garnered widespread acclaim and featured collaborations with Anthony Hamilton, Raheem DeVaughn, and Kevin Ross. Beyond his musical prowess, Eric has extended his talents to literature with his book, “Lessons (100 Thoughts on Life & Love),” and served as the Black Music Concert Artistic Director at the National Museum of African American Music in 2021. As he embarks on his “30th Anniversary Tour” in 2024, Eric Roberson remains an unwavering force, captivating audiences worldwide with his soulful melodies and enriching lyrics.
