ALIEN FUNK ACADEMY is an Athens, GA based electronic duo specializing in glitchy digital mayhem - a pleasantly overwhelming trance-inducing form of “DEATH DISCO” that leaves one dripping with electric adrenaline and striving to maintain the slam-paced 150 BPM grooves that radiate intoxicating intensities up through the dancefloor. AFA is composed of Zac Connely on bass and Bradley Reeves on guitar and synths.

Is a feral creature whomst has been chained in their mother’s basement for potentially centuries, subsisting on a combination of distorted sub 50hz frequencies, overcompressed drum samples, and JRPGs. Reports claim that live performances feature a, shall we say, “esoteric” blend of dance music spanning multiple tempos, continents, and even generations. Often touting an outright refusal to play unoriginal tracks or low bitrate soundcloud rips, Tanuki! strives to reject the common paradigms and challenge the conventions of what it means to be a “local EDM DJ”.
