About this event
Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Cover croping and overwintering is essential to a healthy garden! Join Food Well Alliance and the Atlanta Botanical Garden for an educational workshop on techniques to perserve and improve garden soil health through the colder months. In this special Plant. Eat. Repeat. Workshop, our friends at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network will also be there to share about healthy eating for cancer prevention, and we’ll wrap with a cooking demo featuring healthy fall cuisine!

Getting to the Garden:

The Astro-Fain Community Garden is located on the property of the Fredrick Douglass 9th Grade STEAM Academy. The main building for the school is located at 101 Hemphill, but the garden is just around the corner on Hemphill and Delmar Lane NW. You’ll find an unpaved area to park in and someone will be there to direct you when you arrive.
