Exhibit on acclaimed social justice author Lillian Smith opens at The Wren’s Nest
From September 7 to October 26, The Wren’s Nest House Museum presents in partnership with: Southern Literary Trail, Mississippi State University Libraries, and the Lillian E. Smith Center at Piedmont University, a traveling exhibit on author Lillian Smith.
Join us for a closing exhibition on October 26th for an in-depth review from Matthew Teutsch, PhD the Director of the Lillian E. Smith Center at Piedmont University. Dr. Teutsch is the host of the center’s podcast Dope With Lime and the editor of Rediscovering Frank Yerby: Critical Essays (UPM 2020). He has written and published extensively on Southern writers such as Lillian Smith, Ernest Gaines, and others.
