If you had any passion for live music in Atlanta during the 1990’s, you most likely witnessed the high energy, crazy antics of a Soup show, and it is almost guaranteed that you left hours later exhausted with a smile on your face.
30 years following their debut appearance at a small coffee shop in Buckhead, the Atlanta band Soup is getting ready to grace the stage once again at Smith’s Olde Bar. The recipient of the coveted “People’s Choice Award” at the 2000 99x Atlanta Local Music Awards, Soup spent seven years touring the east coast performing over 600 live shows and shared the stage with bands, such as Derek Trucks, Jennifer Nettles, Sister Hazel, Collective Soul, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’, Ben Folds, and the Spin Doctors.
Soup will be performing at Smith’s Olde Bar on Saturday November 23rd at 9:30pm. Dylan Rowen ( Erik’s son) from Nashville, TN by way of Athens will be opening at 8:30pm supporting his debut EP Songs for the Duped featuring the single “79”.
