Sustaining Land and Legacy: A Southern Forests Symposium

Join us on November 16th in Atlanta, GA for a conversation with leaders across the business and conservation community at the SCADshow Theater to foster a broader understanding and appreciation of the critical role that family forest landowners play in conserving 245 million acres of Southern Forests.

Family Tree isn’t just a film; it’s a call to action. It tells the compelling stories of two Black family landowners in North Carolina, detailing their unique journeys to manage their working forest lands and ensure their families’ legacies.

This event is designed to catalyze discussion, forge partnerships, and inspire actions that ensure a future for southern forests and communities. It is sure to be a thought-provoking afternoon that begins with the film screening, followed by a panel that includes the filmmaker and featured families, an interactive participant dialogue, and networking with leading voices in corporate sustainability, forest conservation, environmental advocacy, policy making, and community development.

Working together, we can transform insight into impactful solutions to keep forests as forests.
