Low Cut Connie, Vinyl — Despite Elton John’s continued popularity, there aren’t many bands led by a piano playing frontman vocalist. That alone makes the glammy, sleazy rocking of Low Cut Connie and its founder/frontman/pianist Adam Weiner an anomaly in the indie rock world. The band has weathered numerous personnel changes since its 2011 debut, but still shoots out electric energy, primarily due to Weiner’s magnetic stage presence — which makes Jerry Lee Lewis look limp in comparison.
