CRITIC’S PICK
Thurs., April 3
BoDeans, City Winery—Waukesha, WI.’s BoDeans co-founder Kurt Neumann has helmed this 80s Americana band for the past decade as the only original member. He has been at it since 1986 and even though the band’s most recent release was in 2022, their catalog is filled with ringing, instantly memorable songs like 1993s “Closer to Free,” their most recognizable composition and biggest hit. Last year’s countrified single “You Wasted Me,” proves that Neumann still writes great songs and their shows remain uplifting, exuberant examples of Midwestern rock and roll at its most organic. — Hal Horowitz
