Join Soul Cinema Sundays for its first film screening of 2025 on MLK weekend! “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” stars Danny Glover, Tichina Arnold, Mike Epps, Jonathan Majors, and Jimmie Fails. Soul Cinema Sundays is a community film screening featuring Black independent and underground films to educate, inspire, and entertain. Screenings include a discussion with artists and activists from community organizations working along the movie’s theme. This film tackles the subject of gentrification. Our host for this featured film is Kalonji Changa of Black Power Media in conversation with the Housing Justice League. Doors at 3:30 pm.

Plot of the film:
Jimmie and his best friend Mont try to reclaim the house built by Jimmie’s grandfather, launching them on a poignant odyssey that connects them to their past, even as it tests their friendship and sense of belonging in the place they call home.
