The Altons, Thee Sinseers, Vinyl—Take a trip back to the 60s with The Altons’ sweet, soulful pop. Less rhythmic than some of the Daptone bands (the group is produced by Daptone’s Bosco Mann), this is the sound of girl groups and vocalists that lean to the more romantic side of the musical spectrum. They co-headline with the similarly inclined The Sinceers who enhance their retro sound with a full horn section. Cool stuff. — Hal Horowitz
