The Bones of JR Jones, Ruen Brothers, Aisle 5 — The intriguingly monikered alias of Jonathon Lineberry is indicative of his darker, stripped-down approach to folk, blues, and a woozy psychedelic folk rock that grows on you, albeit rather slowly. Usually he works solo with a beatbox providing percussion which allows him leeway to wiggle and ramble down whichever rustic path he feels that night. He can rock out as on “The Heat,” a Zeppelin inspired thumper, but Lineberry is just as likely to follow that with dreamy new songs like “Shameless” and “Savages.” Eccentric and intriguing. — Hal Horowitz
