Tika Sumpter, an accomplished actor, producer, podcast creator and author, has established herself as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after multi-hyphenates.

In April, Tika will be releasing her first children’s book, I Got It From My Mama, through Genius Cat Books. I Got It From My Mama is a heartwarming story about Ella, a curious, full-of-life little girl who sees her mom as her biggest inspiration. Most recently, Tika starred in the third installment of Paramount Pictures’ juggernaut franchise, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3, reprising her iconic character of “Maddie Wachowski,” which opened in-theaters December 2024.

Less than a month-out from the third installment's premiere, the SONIC franchise has historically surpassed $1Billion in revenue at the worldwide box office, and opened #1 domestically, followed by the franchise’s largest international box office opening to date. Tika is currently in production on Sisters In Italy rom-com, in partnership with Tyler Perry, for Amazon MGM Studios, that she co-wrote, is co-producing and starring in.

An equally-impressive milestone for the actress in the last calendar year, Tika additionally released a highly-regarded, children-centric, animated podcast series “Adventures of Curiosity Cove” in Summer 2024. Season two of the series is now streaming wherever you listen to podcasts.
