Artist Talk: Sean Caulfield & Leslie Schomp
From the venue:
This Artist Talk will be held both virtually through Google Meets and in-person within the Reeves House Art Gallery on April 17 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM with artists Sean Caulfield and Leslie Schomp! Both artists will be joining us virtually for an opportunity to speak on their artwork and themselves as well as answer any proposed questions.
About the Speaker(s):
Though both of these artists are featured in our current exhibit “Mended,” their styles are VASTLY unique. Caulfield’s work can come off as bold and exciting with his large wooden sculptures and impressively stunning overlain prints with themes seen consistently throughout his work. However, in Schomp’s case, the personal narratives in many of her pieces create an immediate and intimate depth with her viewers; making her already delicate cloth and hair artworks feel even more precious.
Each of these fantastic artists are ready to talk to YOU about their stories, their passions, their methods, and their work. Join us for a behind the scenes look at how Sean Caulfield and Leslie Schomp became the amazing people they are today!

Artist Talks provide an opportunity for artists to share their work and passions with the public, as well as offer insight into the exhibition as a whole. Be part of the conversation, express your thoughts and ideas, ask your burning questions, or simply sit back and enjoy the discussion. This is an opportunity to learn about the speaker’s artistic processes as well as their other projects!
