An Evening with The Isley Brothers and guest After 7

CRITIC’S PICK
Sat., June 7
The Isley Brothers, After 7, Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre: There aren’t many touring artists that can claim a hit-filled catalog dating back to the late ‘50s, let alone ones who can count Jimi Hendrix as a backup musician for a short while. But Cincinnati’s Isley Brothers, now down to singer Ronald (at a distinguished 83 years old) and guitarist Ernie Isley, check those boxes. They have enough hits to play a few hours, but you’re sure to hear soul classics like “Shout,” (which charted in 1959) “It’s Your Thing,” “That Lady” and maybe even the still-topical “Fight the Power” as they traipse through highlights of their legendary 65+ year run. — Hal Horowitz
