This panel will discuss the impact of streaming and new distribution models on indie films, strategies for securing financing in today’s market, the importance of networking and relationship-building in film production, and how films are made in GA these days.
Moderator:
Luke Williams
Luke Williams is an experienced producer & director with a 15-year history of working in the entertainment/marketing industry. He has extensive experience working in film, documentaries, commercials, music videos & teaching Producer classes with ATLFS. Luke has produced four low budget narrative features — Most notably the award-winning "A Band of Rogues" which was filmed on location in Argentina in 2012, "The Murder Podcast," which was distributed in 2021 and "Hold the Fort," from 2023, which is in post-production.

Vanessa Stewart
Vanessa Stewart is an operating partner at the Georgia based independent film company StoryMill Entertainment. An award winning published playwright that studied at Oxford School of Drama, she has developed work with Oscar winning filmmaker Taylor Hackford and is a Sundance finalist for her pilot Real M*thr. She is currently developing a TV series based on the award winning independent comic White Ash and will be producing a movie in the fall directed by Jennifer Lynch and written by husband French Stewart.
Seth Ingram
Seth Ingram is the Chair of Humanities at Georgia Highlands College, where he founded the Film and Digital Entertainment Program. He also serves as the Creative Director of the Rome International Film Festival (RIFF), overseeing its growth into a premier industry event. As an award-winning film producer and screenwriter, Seth has contributed to numerous projects, including the upcoming feature Signing Tony Raymond. Seth is a champion of Georgia’s creative talent.
Kristy Clabaugh
Kristy Clabaugh is Georgia based Producer. She produced the feature film Signing Tony Raymond which is coming to screens soon this year. Kristy is also owner of Story Board Financial and Element CPA PC, both production focused firms based in Atlanta.
Mitch Olson
Writer/Producer Mitch Olson is Professor of Screen and TV Writing at Kennesaw State University. He has a background in development and TV writing, and is President of Point South Productions (Easter, Bloody Easter; Signing Tony Raymond; The Naughty List).
