If you love campy fantasy-monster-fairytale-adventure flicks, this Saturday’s Silver Scream Spook Show features a classic of the genre, ‘Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger’ (1977). Of course, before the flick, there’s the Silver Scream Spook Show itself, a live stage extravaganza chock full of ghoulish shenanigans, slapstick sketches and choreography of a pulchritudinous nature with magical conjuring, awful jokes and other cool stuff.
The titular star of ‘Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger’ is Patrick (son of John) Wayne. The film also features Margaret Whiting as Zenobia, the evil stepmother who turns her stepson into a baboon to thwart his ascendancy to the throne of Samandal; and British actress Jane Seymour (born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg) as Princess Farah, Sinbad’s significant other.
‘Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger’ was the third and final installment in the Sinbad series, which showcases incredible stop-motion creatures and special effects by Ray Harryhausen. Two screenings: 1:30 p.m. (for kids) and 10 p.m. (for older kids). – Doug DeLoach

Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger (1977)
Legendary adventurer Sinbad (Patrick Wayne) stops in a port town to visit his friend Prince Kassim (Damien Thomas), only to find the city walls locked and no one there to greet him except an evil witch, Zenobia (Margaret Whiting), and her monstrous henchmen. Kassim’s sister, Princess Farah (Jane Seymour), finds Sinbad and informs him her brother has been transformed into an ape, so now it’s up to Sinbad to find the magic shrine that may be the only hope for restoring Kassim to his human form.
