Overworked and overweight, Barney wants to join the excitement before it's too late and arranges three seductions using his mother’s occasionally empty NYC apartment: the first, Elaine proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses; then there’s Bobbi, a 20-ish actress who's too kooky by half; and finally, Jeanette, a gloomy, depressed housewife who happens to be married to Barney's best friend. Each of his failed attempts at seduction lead to hilarious results as Barney discovers he may not actually be the Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
