Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Symphony Hall - Blues rocking mainstay Shepherd returns for an annual visit to this venue. His most recent project was a rousingly successful pairing with blues legend Bobby Rush. The 92-year-old icon won't be on this bill, but Shepherd will likely reprise some songs from their collaborative album. The tour continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Shepherd's debut, Ledbetter Heights (2025). We're sure to hear the majority of those songs, recorded when he was 18, yet reinvigorated and somewhat revised with three decades of tweaks. However you feel about electric blues shredders, Shepherd brings it live. He tears into that guitar with guts and gusto, owning the stage with the nonchalant swagger and professionalism of a player who began as a teen prodigy and has radically improved since to deservedly become one of the biggest names in his genre. - Hal Horowitz
