This free three-hour session empowers individuals to develop a personal safety strategy *before* a crime occurs, focusing on awareness, avoidance, and risk reduction and teach practical, inexpensive, and easy-to-follow crime prevention techniques applicable in daily life.

Topics covered include:

Understanding criminal motivations and how predators choose victims

Developing situational awareness and trusting your instincts

Securing your living space and personal communications

Techniques for carjacking avoidance and general car safety

Staying safe in unfamiliar locations

Addressing digital vulnerabilities

Discussing tools for protection (like pepper spray) and self-defense training options

About the Instructor: Matt Podowitz is a violent crime survivor who has lived all his life in dangerous cities like Atlanta, Chicago, and Moscow, Russia.
