Fri., April 17
Rory Block, Eddie Owen Presents at Red Clay - Acoustic blueswoman guitarist Block has steadfastly stayed true to her non-commercial calling through over 50 years of albums and tours. She has released greater than two dozen titles, many of them tributes to the folk blues men and women that have inspired her; from Robert Johnson and Bessie Smith to the Bob Dylan collection 2024 and even Hendrix. Block's voice is husky and authentic so whatever she plays is organic, emotional and rootsy. It's possible she won't have a defined set list, but expect tunes from last year's Heavy on the Blues, a slightly funkier collection. - Hal Horowitz
