VinylCon! (day one)
Critic’s Pick
Saturday, Feb. 21
VinylCon!, Yaarab Shrine Temple — The Atlanta edition of VinylCon! will feature over 50 record dealers from across the United States, along with some regional sellers as well. The two-day event is VinylCon!’s first in the southeast, after successful collector’s shows in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Denver. Claiming to be a unique blend of community, culture, and crate-digging, founder Kobi Waldfogel says he first started the event in 2023 because, “As a collector and enthusiast myself, I felt like the record fair I wanted to attend simply didn’t exist … VinylCon! is meant to be both accessible to vinyl-curious newcomers and respected by veteran collectors. Atlanta has an incredible and loyal music culture, and we can’t wait to offer our event to the community.” In addition to the record dealers, DJ Skeme Richards will be present, along with food trucks from Napa Kitchen, Grindhouse Burgers, Vice Taco Truck, and Lisa’s Creperie. If that’s not enough, there will also be a full bar each day.
Advance tickets for Saturday, Feb. 21, 10:00 AM to 5 PM, are $12.00. For the serious crate diggers, VIP Early Entry tickets are available for $32.25, giving those who purchase them a two-hour head start. — Tony Paris
VinylCon! AfterParty, Echo Room — After a day of crate-digging, what better way to relax than at a vinyl lounge, listening to records played by top DJs, featuring Skeme Richards, Sky Society and special guest Supreme La Rock. Tickets for the 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. event are $17.00 plus fees.
