Jordan Thorne & Dakota East live at Eddie's Attic!

Dakota East

Coastal country artist Dakota East is quickly emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices. Born in Canada and now based in Melbourne, East traces the roots of her distinctive sound to her childhood spent living in a log cabin on a secluded lake in Ontario’s shield country.

Surrounded by the music of Shania Twain, John Denver, and Bonnie Raitt, East developed a deep love for country, folk, and blues — the perfect soundtrack to what she describes as a magical upbringing. That foundation shines through in her music today, blending heartfelt storytelling with modern, atmospheric production.

Her debut single, “Runaway,” featuring shimmering electric guitars and pedal steel, made an immediate impact, earning over 400,000 streams and placements on official Spotify and Apple Music playlists. Since then, Dakota East has continued to build momentum on the live circuit, captivating audiences with her powerhouse vocals and genre-blending sound.
