What's Going On - Tunes for Turbulent Times

Cabaret artist Nancy Gaddy steps into the spotlight with her latest creation, What's Going On - Tunes for Turbulent Times, set to ignite the Academy Theatre's Sunday Variety Series on April 19 at 6 p.m.  Though a mix of timely, heartfelt and socially charged songs, Gaddy transforms shared struggles into powerful m0ments of  unity and reflection. 

Known for her comedic spark, Gaddy ventures into uncharted territory, delving beyond her signature wit to embrace deeper themes.  Yet her irreverent lens on today's hot button topics still shines through each song. 

What's Going On features an eclectic mix of tunes by such artists as David Byrne, Bob Dylan, Don Henley, Randy Newman, Laura Nyro,  and more.   Gaddy will be backed by some of Atlanta's most dynamic musicians, to include Andrew Fazackerley on keyboards, Steve Cunningham on guitar, Ramon Pooser on bass and Mike Hinton on drums.
