This timely conflict resolution strategy training in a foster care setting will equip foster parents, bio-parents, caregivers, child welfare professionals (social workers, DFCS and CASA) and child attorneys with the vital and proven tools to manage and de-escalate conflicts in a trauma-informed, empathetic manner. This invaluable training focuses on the specific root drivers of conflict within foster care dynamics, resolution tools to minimize conflict, enhancement of communication skills, active listening, emotional regulation, and collaborative problem-solving. Participants will learn to recognize the impact of trauma on behavior, set consistent boundaries, and use restorative practices and conflict coaching to rebuild trust and relationships with traumatized foster children. By fostering a safe and supportive environment, this training will help reduce tension, promote healing, and improve outcomes for children in care.
