Keith Washington is an American R&B vocalist, songwriter, actor, and producer born in Detroit, Michigan. He started singing at the age of six, opening up for artists such as: Brenda Russell and many others that grace the stage at the club Twenty Grand. Years later, Washington started touring with the legendary group “The Dramatics,” being featured on stage being seen by well known artists, as well as, record executives. The exposure from Star Search, afforded him opportunities to do background recording sessions with renowned artists such as Stevie Wonder, George Clinton, R&B Vocalist Miki Howard, and the Jacksons just to name a few. Washington then moved to Los Angeles, where he met manager, Sherwin Bash and A&R executive for Qwest Records, Raoul Roach whom introduced him to Quincy Jones, who signed him to Qwest Warner Brothers. In 1991, Qwest Warner Brothers released his first single titled “ Kissing You,” off the Make time for love CD produced by Jon Nettlesbey and Terry Coffey, which was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance and won a 1992 Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B single. In addition, the song topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Charts for several weeks. Shortly after, Qwest Warner Brothers released his second single titled, “Are You Still In Love With Me,” produced by Barry Eastmond, giving him his first Gold and Platinum CD. Washington then went on to record his second CD titled, “You Make It Easy,” produced by Gorge Duke, landing Washington his second Gold Album. He then went on to record several duets with R&B singer Chante Moore, artist Taylor Dayne, and UK pop artist Kylie Minogue, titled “If You Were With Me Now” reaching #4 on the UK Single Charts. In 1998, Washington released his third CD titled; “KW” produced by platinum producer Rodney Jerkins, and teamed up once again with Chante Moore, releasing the hit single, “I Love You.” Washington then went on to work with platinum producers Babyface and L.A.
