Noah Kahan at Truist Park
CRITIC'S PICK:
Mon., July 27
Noah Kahan, Gigi Peres, Truist Park - It's the Great Divide tour, named after the title of Americana superstar Noah Kahan's new album. It's his fourth, following the enormous popularity of Stick Season (2022), a set that took him from small halls to baseball parks in remarkably short order. His introspective lyrics balloon from subtle to, well, stadium-sized, have captured a zeitgeist many other, arguably more talented, artists, would love to replicate. Those that don't think his rootsy, strummy, singer/songwriter music has the fortitude to captivate at this expansive outdoor venue only need check out last year's Live from Fenway Park. Of course this isn't the best place to appreciate Kahan's nuanced lyrics, but the fact that he made it to this level so quickly is impressive. - Hal Horowitz
