Jill Andrews, Eddie Owen Presents at Red Clay - Andrews' days in the wonderful Everybodyfields is far in the rearview mirror. The singer/songwriter started releasing albums under her own name in 2011. She has also been involved with the indie-folk Hush Kids outfit which introduced a more stripped-down sound and even had an unlikely hit with a dreamy version of Starships' "We Built This City." Her lovely, often sultry vocals and introspective lyrics populate a clutch of superbly-produced albums and EPs, highlighting her bittersweet melodic talents. The most recent is Big Feelings (2025) where she takes the voice of characters expressing their outlooks in six terrific songs that combine folk and pop in understated, delicate yet emotionally powerful music.
