Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Jimmie Vaughan, Synovus Park Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - As anyone who has seen Dylan in the past 30 years knows, he blows hot and cold in concert. His aloof stage presence is a given (recent gigs have him ensconced, almost hidden, behind a barely lit piano under a black hoodie), as is the proficiency of whoever is in his current band. But if you're hoping to hear "Like a Rolling Stone," that's probably not going to happen. Similar to Neil Young, he picks and chooses obscure covers and songs from his voluminous catalog that may or not be recognizable in their current arrangements. His voice remains a distinctive croak but...it's Bob freakin' Dylan, he's earned the right to do what he wants and, at 85, his touring years are limited.
