Curtis Salgado, Blind Willie's - If there is a living blue-eyed soul/bluesman who epitomized the "been there/done that," cliché, it's singer/harpist Salgado. Perhaps best known for kick-starting John Belushi's love of blues, and hence the Blues Brothers, Salgado has also been a member of Roomful of Blues, Robert Cray's band, and even Santana for a tour. Bouts surviving liver and lung cancer couldn't stop him from releasing a batch of terrific solo albums, the latest of which is a live disc that exhibits the rugged soul, blues and funk which has made him an esteemed veteran in the blues trenches.
