'A Meal' by Leimay Ensemble, 7 Stages - This show is being touted as a multi-sensorial live performance and installation around cooking and food through various scenarios that include audience participation. It's conceived by artists Ximena Garnica from Colombia and Shige Moriya from Japan; their aim is to highlight the "deep-seated current of racism (that) underlies today's inequities in access to fresh and nutritious food." Leimay Ensemble is based in New York City and is led by immigrant artists from the Global Majority. The group also operates in Bogotá and surrounding regions, offering classes, workshops, and labs for the public, fostering "exchanges of knowledge around artistic practice and socio-environmental causes." - Kevin C.
