Atlanta-based artist Sergio Suárez explores the passage and presence of time through print, sculpture, and ceramics, in conversation with the Carlos Museum’s permanent collection in the exhibition https://carlos.emory.edu/calendar?trumbaEmbed=view=event&eventid=206225768" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">Anamnesis. Join Ruth Allen, curator of Greek and Roman Art, and Andi McKenzie, curator of Works on Paper, for a lively discussion with Suárez. Together they will explore his construction of a new mythos rooted in ancient Mesoamerican and ancient Greek cosmologies and material culture and discuss connections to philosophy, astrophysics, the history and practice of printmaking, and colonial legacies of Catholicism.
