June 2022 - Proxi is an up & coming young rock band from Georgia. The lead vocalist, Chloe Smith, has been compared to Gwen Stefani & Amy Winehouse. Proxi has recently released a fantastic EP titled "Neon". This studio work is a perfect example of what this band is all about in terms of personality and inventiveness, highlighting their remarkable ability to seamlessly open up to different creative ideas and take their music to a whole new level. From breathtaking vocal hooks to energetic and colorful melodies; anything goes when it comes to their musical creativity.
Neon, is an example of their truly unique creative formula! Since quality in everything they do is so important, the EP was actually recorded at one of the most iconic studios in the world: Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL (Known for hosting sessions with music legends such as The Rolling Stones, Etta James, Chris Stapleton, Bob Dylan, Jason Isbell, Aretha Franklin and many more.
Proxi has accomplished a refreshingly new sound on this release, and the musical work is so engaging, passionate and effortless, so much so that the audience is definitely going to want more from these talented performers, who have not settled into their comfort zone and have continued to explore new ideas and take their music to a whole new level of professionalism and appeal. One of the things that make the band so special is that they managed to form an astounding bond as musicians. The group started in 2021, but guitarist Taylor Mills and singer Chloe Smith have been making music since they were in high-school. Joined by bass player Logan Hickman, rhythm guitarist Steven Lawson and drummer Daniel Waldroupe, they managed to bring the band to life and connect with the audience right away. The fans of the group are so addicted to their vibe that they have proclaimed themselves, "Proxiholics." The band treasures every single one of them!
