John Nemeth

John Németh is a powerhouse blues and soul singer who began his career in Idaho in the early ’90s, inspired by the sounds of Junior Wells and Buddy Guy. After forming the influential band Fat John & the 3 Slims, he quickly gained recognition performing with national blues acts and releasing early solo records featuring guitarist Junior Watson. A move to San Francisco led to a two-year run with Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets, deepening his ties to soul and funk. Németh’s 2007 national debut Magic Touch launched him as a major voice in the blues, earning critical acclaim and multiple Blues Music Award nominations. He later moved to Memphis, collaborating with the Bo-Keys on Memphis Grease, which won Best Soul Blues Album in 2015. Through projects like Feelin’ Freaky and Stronger Than Strong, Németh continues to blur genre lines, blending blues, soul, R&B and rock into a sound that’s both timeless and fresh.
