drummer Doug Bleichner just dropped a new EP under his solo project, Meat. It's feel-good, lo-fi pop which makes me dream of the California sun. ("Surf's up, dude.") Stream/download Buff Yuppie at his http://immersiveatlanta.com/meat-buff-yuppie/Bandcamp.

ICYMI, Noisey premiered a new track from Little Tybee last week, "More Like Jason," from the band's upcoming self-titled LP. The group's next show is at 529 on Sat., Apr. 9, with Culture Culture and Night Idea.

Shaky Knees has announced the late night shows for 2016. Among the acts performing will be Parquet Courts (whose new LP, Human Performance, Stereogum named Album of the Week; it comes out Friday via Rough Trade) who will play with B Boys and Priests, and Explosions in the Sky (whose new album, The Wilderness, came out last Friday), who will play with Disappears (!!).

Swans have unveiled a clip of a new song — the title track from their forthcoming release, The Glowing Man (out June 17 via Young God). Give it a listen over at Stereogum. Swans play Terminal West on Fri., July 22.

Nashville singer-songwriter Julien Baker has unveiled her cover of Elliott Smith's "Ballad of Big Nothing," to be released on Say Yes! A Tribute to Elliott Smith (out Oct. 14 via American Laundromat). Check out the full list of tracks at American Laundromat — J Mascis, Waxahatchee, and Amanda Palmer contribute covers, among others — and listen to the track at Brooklyn Magazine. Baker will perform at Shaky Knees on Sun., May 15.

Wye Oak just covered Pat Benatar's "We Belong" for A.V.
