Rakim and DMX join A3C + Psych Army's showcase announced
The local hip-hop institution is making some serious power moves on the eve of its 10th anniversary.
If you've spent any time within the last 24 hours tooling around A3C's new app for the iPhone and Android, you've probably already noticed that both Rakim and DMX snuck on to the annual hip-hop festivals 10th anniversary (Oct. 8-12) like thieves in the night.
A3C will give away 100 tickets to the Legends of Hip-Hop show on Sat., Oct. 11, at the Civic Center, where Rakim and DMX are performing along with Ja Rule, EPMD, Kool Moe Dee, and Naughty By Nature. The ticket giveaway will take place Fri., Oct. 10. Time and location for the giveaway will be announced over the coming week.
If you show up at the Civic Center without a free ticket but have an A3C pass, you'll get $10 off the the ticket price.
Equally exciting on the local front, the lineup for psychrapptastikroboticeroticon, Psych Army's official A3C showcase has been announced. The show goes down Sat., Oct. 11, and features performances by Kool Keith, the Difference Machine, MarQ Spekt, Duel of the MPC, Dinosaur Burps, along with DJ sets by from Knumbskull, the Morkestra, Divine Interface, Floyd the Locsmif, and Dillon aka Lobsterdamus, the latter of whom will be DJing for Kool Keith as well as hosting the night. Keep your ears peeled for some new Dillon joints in the midst of it all.
The show starts around 11 p.m., and Kool Keith with close it out at 12:30.
