Nobunny gets naked at the Earl
The garage rocker brings his insane show to Atlanta.
?
There are some performers in the world that are so bizarre, energetic, and captivating, that it'd be a crime to miss them live. Nobunny is definitely one of those performers. He's a grown-ass man who performs wearing only a rabbit mask, underwear, and a leather jacket while tossing around various oddball props — including ball gags and other sundries. He plays a brand of stripped-down garage punk reminiscent of the Ramones, if the Ramones were led by some bizarro, sex-crazed version of Captain Kangaroo. Nobunny and his backing band (which includes a guitarist named "Elvis Christ") are bringing their ridiculously high-energy show to the Earl tonight at 8:30 p.m. If you're over 21, there's no reason not to catch these guys belt out tunes from their new LP First Blood.
?
Opening for Nobunny is Atlanta all-girl punk act The Coathangers, just returning from a nationwide tour in support of their new LP Larceny and Old Lace. If you haven't picked up the record yet, it's currently part of a label-wide sale from Suicide Squeeze Records for $5.

As a bonus, check out the music video for Nobunny's "Blow Dumb." It's certainly an experience.
