Aleon Craft x SMKA drop The Prologue Pt. 1
Decatur's highest touches down with SMKA today
Decatur's highest touches down with The Prologue Pt. 1 EP today. Discovered by Dallas Austin several years ago, Craft has been getting his indie glide on something serious. His association with production outfit SMKA — which began on their 808 Experiment Vol. 1 compilation when partner-in-rhyme and featured artist Gripplyaz invited him to contribute to the lead single "Caddys" — has turned into a prolific collabo, spawning one of the standout tracks ("Botanicals") on SMKA's follow-up The 808 Experiment Vol. 2 and now Aleon's solo EP.

On the song "Back to the D.E.C.," Craft teams up with Decatur native Playboy Tre to take us on a tour of their stomping grounds ("Glenwood rollin' smokin coconut pine/’bout to put it out hit it two more times," Craft raps) over a sped-up sample of Stacy Lattisaw's 1989 Motown hit "Where Do We Go From Here," feat. Johnny Gill.
