If you're not yet hip to Atlanta-based stoner factory Adult Swim's "8 Singles 8 Weeks" deal, allow us to enlighten you. Last week, in conjunction with some car company or another, they began an eight-week promotional campaign, with the idea being that each week would bring a new and exclusive "single" from a varied list of musical artists. The songs are free for streaming and download at the Adult Swim site as they are released.

Last week, Bonnie "Prince" Billy teamed up with Matt Sweeny for a woozy cover of country dude Gene Watson's "Love in the Hot Afternoon." And yesterday, DOOM and Madlib, operating once again under the Madvillain moniker, dropped "Papermill", a bizarre, debauched track that is classic Madvillain. "I guess you had to be there/ There was free beer," slurs DOOM over one of the craziest backing tracks you'll hear all month:

At least we know these two dudes are back in the studio again. The long-awaited sequel to 2004's brilliant Madvillainy can't be far behind. Right? RIGHT?

Upcoming installments in "8 Singles 8 Weeks" will feature Killer Mike, High on Fire, Freddie Gibbs and others, including Georgians Washed Out and the Black Lips. And in case you didn't get on this when it came out, check out Adult Swim's ATL RMX mixtape.
