On Alabama Street, two officers were flagged down by a 19-year-old woman and her 23-year-old female friend. “Stop that man. He just slapped me on my behind,” said the 19-year-old woman. She then pointed to a 20-year-old man wearing jeans and a black T-shirt. ?
The two officers ordered the man to stop. The man ignored the police command and ran through Underground Atlanta. ?
He ran by a police sergeant, who stopped the man near an elevator in a back alley of Underground. ?
The 19-year-old woman positively identified the man as the culprit who had slapped her buttocks for no reason. ?
The man responded by saying that he was just playing around. ?
The man was arrested for simple battery.
A 37-year-old man said while he was out of town, his ex-wife went to his apartment on Northside Parkway. She entered the apartment with a key she had kept. According to the 37-year-old man, his ex-wife poured bleach onto three pairs of his custom-made leather boots. (The boots were valued at $4,000.) She also poured bleach on a bunch of his clothes. ?
The ex-wife also took his Rolex Presidential gold watch (worth $15,000) and the battery to his phone. She also damaged his stereo equipment and threw his belongings around the apartment. ?
The 37-year-old told police that he and his ex-wife had been fighting. The officer advised the man of his rights under state law. No charges were filed at the time of report.
A 30-year-old man said when he arrived at work on Delta Boulevard there was a message on his voice mail. The caller used a racial slur, and said, “You gotta go you gonna die. I’m gonna fuck your wife with a stick of dynamite.” The caller then hung up. ?
A few days later, the man arrived to work and found a white envelope on his chair. Inside the envelope was a live roach. ?
There were no suspects at the time of report.
A 51-year-old woman said she was sitting outside her apartment on Sampson Street. Her boyfriend, 52, came over and asked her to come with him to his residence on Boulevard. The woman refused to go with her boyfriend. According to the police report, “He got furious and kicked a bucket of fire that [the victim] had burning for mosquitoes and burned her right foot.” ?
The woman sustained minor burns, which did not require a hospital visit. The boyfriend fled before police arrived.
A 36-year-old woman on Dill Drive said a 42-year-old man with missing teeth approached her and asked her for his money. She told him to leave her alone. He then became angry and threw a can of Raid bug spray at her. The can hit her on the head. The man then walked away. But an officer stopped him at a nearby intersection. He was given a ticket for simple battery.
A security guard at a CVS Pharmacy on Broad Street saw a 43-year-old man take a package of chocolate Ex-Lax, open the package and prepare to eat the contents. He made no attempt to buy the laxatives. The security guard detained the man, who was arrested for shoplifting. The laxatives were valued at $4.19. ?
The suspect offered no explanation for his actions to police.
A 37-year-old man from Covington, Ga., stopped on Marona Road to ask for directions. He was approached by two women: one woman had strawberry blonde hair and gold teeth; the other was a brunette and was wearing all black clothing. The man thought the women were going to give him directions. Instead, one woman pulled out a razor, placed the razor against the man’s neck and demanded that he give up his car and car keys. ?
The man turned over the keys to his 300SD Mercedes Benz and $110 cash. The two women then drove away.
