Spring in Atlanta without the ATLANTA DOGWOOD FESTIVAL is like, well, honestly, we have no idea. The freakin’ thing’s been going on since 1936! The Dogwood Fest continues Sat., APRIL 14, with the usual crowd-pleasing mix of art, knickknacks, the Disc Dog Southern Nationals Frisbee dog competition and live music. This year’s headliners include classical hip-hoppers Nuttin’ But Stringz, Fab-Four tributeers Beatlemania Live (pictured) and fifth-place “American Idoler” Paris Bennett. Locals Anthony David, Kingsized, Delta Moon and Spy round out the lineup. The festival’s namesake Dogwood trees are in bloom, so bring a Claritin. Through April 15. This year’s Atlanta Dogwood festival has been postponed to August 7 – August 9, 2020 and then cancelled. We’ll publish the festival schedule, recommendations and events next Spring when it returns.
