Streetalk: How do you feel cool in sunglasses?

‘I’ve been wearing heart shape sunglasses for about a year. I don’t look good in sunglasses so I figure the more ridiculous the better.’

Lashundra: It’s all about Hollywood. When I put them on, I feel glamorous. Functionality doesn’t matter. It’s attitude. I see some people and think “Oh my God those sunglasses are horrible,” but if you feel beautiful in them it doesn’t matter. It’s all personality. When I put them on, really, I feel Hollywood. I feel like a celeb, like Beyonce, walking down with the stilettos on feeling funk with a nice handbag to go with it. I feel like I’m ready to go, ready to hit the streets with a little wind in my hair and cruise around.

Rodell:  Main thing is you just have to act like you know. I wear these sunglasses like I made them, like I personally made the frames and I’m confident and I act like you know. Act like you know is like a philosophy on life. They look like Ray-Bans but they’re Tart Opticals. Much harder to find. I get a lot of compliments and a lot people will come up to me and be like I know. But when you act like you know not only does this fit me, but it goes with my whole steez.

Natalie: You need to stick with one style and just roll with it. I’ve been wearing heart shape sunglasses for about a year. I don’t look good in sunglasses so I figure the more ridiculous the better. It displays more my personality than regular sunglasses and I really don’t want to wear regular Wayfarers like everybody else. All in all do something that looks good on your face and expresses something about you as a person. I like the book Lolita. I am a fan of Lolita not in the sense that I condone that behavior.
