Under Chapter 11, Borders Books to close five Georgia stores

Borders' closures include stores at Parkway Pointe, the Mall of Georgia, Kennesaw, Austell and Suwanee.

I has a sad. The Borders bookstore chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced plans to shutter 194 stores, 30 percent of the company's total. Based on this list, Georgia stores to be closed include Parkway Pointe store on Cobb Parkway, the Mall of Georgia store in Buford and Borders in Kennesaw, Austell and Suwanee. This doesn't include the Midtown Borders at Brookwood, which has already announced its impending closure, or the Dunwoody Borders which closed its doors in late 2010. You might want to look out for some going out of business sales. Unfortunately.
