Yep, an adult store owner has purchased Deal’s Habersham County property

Son-in-law, who produced documentaries and such flicks as ‘From Lust ‘Til Dawn,’ will manage pawn shop on property

Our hunch was correct! Aaron Gould Sheinin says Gov. Nathan Deal’s accountant has confirmed that Steve Diamond, a California businessman who owns a chain of adult stores that sell sex toys, DVDs, lubrication and other fun items, has purchased the governor’s Habersham County property.

Hate to break it to you, Habersham hedonists, but the building on the property will become not a porn shop but a pawn shop. Diamond’s daughter and son-in-law will manage the business. Reports Sheinin:

The Northeast Georgian newspaper of Cornelia reported Friday that Diamond’s son-in-law, Robert Cartee, will manage the pawnshop. The newspaper said Cartee is a retired film producer from California.

According to the Internet Movie Database website, “Rob” Cartee is the producer of a documentary about the horrors of pre-war Iraq as well as such titles as “From Lust Till Dawn,” “Porn-star Party” and “Motel 69.”

Efforts to reach Cartee were unsuccessful.

It’s a great day in Georgia.
