When a person hears about a literary magazine sprouting at a time when publications closed or fled the city (See: AJC, Paste Magazine, Sunday Paper), the future outlook and stability of said magazine appear undoubtedly bleak.
But whether it’s because they got their shit straight, the quality of the writing is bar-none or because Atlanta is among the top 20 most well-read U.S. cities, this Fri., Aug. 12, WonderRoot’s literary publication, Loose Change Magazine, will show off their survival skills with their one year anniversary celebration.
The celebratory event, Paper Anniversary, will include readings, art, music, food, and dancing at Oakhurst’s Kavarna Coffee, as well interactive, word-based art opportunities for attendees. Creative ReUse, an offshoot project of WonderRoot, will present a caption contest as and interactive art project.
