After what must be one of the longest stage stints in Atlanta theater history, actress Deborah Childs performs her final performance in the long-running comedy Peachtree Battle this weekend. For 10 years, Childs has played Buckhead socialite Trudy Habersham, first at Peachtree Playhouse, then at Ansley Park Playhouse. According to the playhouse's press release:

What started as an eight-week run, about a Buckhead socialite whose favorite son gets engaged to a Hooter’s Girl, has become the story of unmatched success in Atlanta theatre. Peachtree Battle started in the old Peachtree Playhouse over ten years ago before moving into the larger Ansley Park Playhouse in Uptown, in 2005. Peachtree Battle is currently held over through May 25, 2012. Anna House, who portrays the eccentric Grandmother, Azalea Weiuca, is the only original cast member left.

Childs' final performances are January 26 and 27, 2012.
