Is ATL the worst-dressed sports town?

ESPN says we’re just behind Tampa Bay and Denver

?Another day, another outlet shedding some negative light on Atlanta sports teams. It’s not news that the city consistently makes lists for “Most Cursed Sports Cities in America” or has to explain “Why Atlanta Isn’t the Worst Sports Town in America,” but do those dubious distinctions extend to the sense of style (or lack thereof) in the uniforms for the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons? ESPN.com seems to think so. For their “Uni Watch 2015,” the website ranked the “Best-Dressed Cities,” with Atlanta coming in dead last at 6.7 points.
?
? The not-so-scientific study, which was comprised of the 20 cities with last three major sports teams, rated each organization’s uniform on a scale of one to 10. This year’s top five included Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. At No. 20, the only shining light for the City of Atlanta, according to the rankings, are the Braves uniforms, which received a score of 6.5. The list, however, was not so kind to the Falcons and Hawks, specifically calling out the latter’s new uniforms.
?
?Here’s what ‘ol ESPN had to say:
?
??? “The Hawks’ new uniforms, unveiled earlier this summer, haven’t yet appeared on the court, but they’re bad enough to rank among the NBA’s worst. Toss in the Falcons (those striped sleeves make the jersey look like a clown costume), and you have a hole that not even the Braves can dig you out of.”??
?Atlanta was also docked minus two points in the overall score because of the Georgia Dome. Just ahead of Atlanta, are Tampa Bay, Denver, and a tie between Houston and Cleveland. Guess maybe they missed a recent NBA.com poll, in which fans voted for Toronto and Atlanta as their favorite new uniforms. You can check out ESPN’s full list here.
