Omnivore - Howdy! Come on in for some biscuits an’ breasts!
Remember when the Flying Biscuit was an alternative diner — a return of Mom-style cooking in a funky neighborhood location? Now it’s part of Raving Brands, the franchiser that also owns Moe’s Southwest Grill. So far, staffs at the existing Flying Biscuits are not screaming howdy-do at customers when they come through the door.
But there’s a more serious concern. Raving Brands recently hired Brent McGhee as director of franchise operations for the Biscuit. McGhee spent the last 10 years with ... Hooters. Will the cute little cherubs that are the cafe’s logo be replaced by breasty young madonnas? Would you rather the ladies at Flying Biscuit shout howdy or shake their stuff at you?
