Omnivore - New restaurant seeking staff
Yard House to employ 200
I've talked to three unemployed servers in the last few days. Two of them have been doing restaurant work because they can't find jobs in their chosen careers. Now, they say finding a good server's job is very hard too.
So, here's a new opportunity offered in an email I received this morning:
Yard House, an award-winning, Southern California-based restaurant chain known for its extensive menu of American fusion fare, contemporary music library and vast selection of draft beer, is looking to fill 200 positions at its new Atlantic Station location, the company's first-ever Georgia restaurant slated to open Sunday, April 22. Applicants can apply in person beginning Tuesday, March 6 through Saturday, March 31 from 10am-6pm at the Yard House Atlanta Hiring Center located across from where the new Yard House will be located at Atlantic Station at the corner of Atlantic Drive and 19th Street near Stairway #1.
The Hiring Center will be open daily except Sunday.
According to a recent statement released by the Georgia Labor Commissioner, Atlanta currently has a jobless rate of 9.2%. Those actively seeking employment can apply for front of the house or heart of the house positions, which range from servers, bartenders, hosts and expeditors to line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers and barbacks.
