Stiles Fish Camp, a.k.a. “Dub's,” from James Beard winner Anne Quatrano and her top notch team, officially opened Sept. 22 inside the Central Food Hall at Ponce City Market. Named after Quatrano’s great, great, great, great grandfather, the full service resto is styled after fresh fish spots like those along Highway 98 in Destin, Florida. Dub's features fried grouper sandwiches, seafood bowls, lobster rolls, and possibly the best shrimp po-boy in town. Look for a raw oyster bar experience with 20 varieties of oysters, along with counter service, take away, and a large patio space.

? AMER, a sleek cocktail bar from Brian Lewis and David Durnell of Atlanta’s Bocado, has announced that it will open in the high-end, mixed-use Inman Quarter development possibly by November. AMER, which translates to “bitter” in French, will focus on bitters and Italian Amari with an opening menu of 25 cocktails. AMER will also serve savory small plates and bar snacks curated by Bocado’s chef Adam Waller. The intimate space will seat about 35, with a private room for 12.

? Atlanta’s American Spirit Whiskey kicked off construction on their first distillery, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The facility, which is located in the former Mason Murer Fine Art gallery on Armour Drive, near Sweetwater Brewery, is slated to open in March 2016. The production of the brand’s signature whiskey will continue at an outsourced Charleston, South Carolina facility, but the small batch distillery will produce bourbon and seasonal fruit brandies locally.
